Well they came by sea and this has been confirmed by Govt. of India. They killed 100s and I strongly believe that the number given by Govt of Indiais highly deflated one. Great bloggers like Nitin Pai and GreatBong have written at lengths about this carnage(I am sorry for those who call it tragedy). It was nothing more that cold blooded massacre of people in India. The suggestion and thoughts by both these bloggers have been bang on target. But then, this stupid Congress government is not expected to be able to achieve anything. I saw this amazing headlines from Economic Times, 70% Indians worry about outliving retirement funds . Well my first reaction was "Oh my God" . Most Indians would be unable to sustain themselves once they have retired. More likely they would kill themselves or die of hunger or may need government support. But then I read the fine print there. Well its a survey by MetLife. They sure do see a big market with 70% Indians not having retirement funds. But then another truth is that 50% Indians do not have funds for the next month too. Most of them survive on a daily basis. Mind it survive not live. Then again there is still a large majority who do not invest in retirement funds. Well that reminds me of people like my dad. He has no retirement funds. Sometimes I wondered if there is anything called love. To put it plainly till I was in college I had this firm belief that love is not in the heart but in the mind. Being in love with the hottie in college was the passion and pride of most ppl. Sometime I feel confused about whether what I am doing is correct or is it wrong. Then if you look back in time it seems like some of the actions of yours were actually wrong though it seemed correct at that moment. So is it that There is nothing right or wrong, its just the most convincing argument at the moment. I might seem wrong but you surely have least convincing of arguments to prove me wrong. Well this Wednesday 5th March 2008 I had this unfortunate experience of flying by Jet Lite. I must say that if there is a competition among the worst airlines in India, Jet Lite would definitely be a winner. Well as it has been renamed by some as Jet Late as its too often too late. As if that was not all, what is worse is that aircraft that they have. They are literally held together by duct tapes. These were the comments on the plane by one of my friend on it. Initially I thought it to be a joke, but then he asked me to look at the window and what I saw was this(they say a picture is worth a thousand words ) A little more in detail in the following two pictures   So you can imagine what we went though. But the bottom line is that we are alive . I am not sure if it caused a security risk or something but I did not feel comfortable at all. Recently I had this opportunity of witnessing this amazing concept. Let me start from describing this place. This place is stretched over acres of land, with a parking lot bigger than the car park at any of the Indian Aiports I have seen. So u can imagine the total size of the complex. Its just humongous. So I enter the gate and am there inside this really huge open area. Now time for the first surprise. We need to deposit all out bags, cameras, mobiles, handsfrees and basically everything that is there with you except of course you cash and other valuables. Anyways proceeding from there I moved on. At another point I was told to take off my belt. Yo Baby. This is amazing. Never seen this thing happen anywhere. I believed that Airports and Red Fort also dont have this amazing security. In the list of those seriously stupid researchers we have one more. These guys are saying that smart people are more likely to have alcohol related problem. So how is that. Well they offer a rather simple explanation. Well the smarter the guy, more money he will have. All humans get stressed equally. I just read this amazing research which says Preventing obesity and smoking can save lives, but it doesn't save money Here is the story on Wired . For sometime now I had been hearing of the (supposedly) joke which says that It's not true that married men live longer than single men, it only seems longer. But then now some real smart researchers have found out that  "Fights with spouse can help you live long" . Now this proves one of the many things. Married men or single men, both fight equally. Some men are single because they continuously fight with their girlfriend. Hence actually both live equally long and frustrating lives. Married men are almost always at the receiving end of the fight. Hence they are actually not fighting. Hence liable to die as early as single men. I was watching an amazing show on MTV. It was filled with true sarcasm by VJ Cyrus,the Virus. He had those seemingly genuine disgust against the 'Life Tips' show called 'Love Bites'. Seriously what are those shows for. They tell you what to wear, what to eat and what to talk. Bloody hell, where is the real you. You want some idiot to fall in love with someone else. Well I dont know if accidentally I had made some correct statements in this post about sikhs. I was so sure that it had no intellectual value but then I read this story . So here its says that Mr Anil Ambani is at fault for 'allegedly' circulating derogatory jokes against the Sikh community through its mobile Internet services. The masterminds again are from Lucknow, Lucknow Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee(LGPC). Seems like Lucknow is fast turning hub for all kinds of religious intolerance and communalism. I would like the LGPC people to first read the classics by Khushwant Singh. His jokes are the best of their kind. He is one guy which really made the sardar jokes reach out to the market. Each researcher come up with an amazing new theory and I can do anything but..... you know what. I am talking about yet another research which talks about internet addiction . Its just stupid to say things like this. I wonder if television, phone and breathing also comes under the same category. These guys say "Internet addiction is not manifesting itself as an urge. I today got this amazing story to read from the master of 'office humor', Scott Adams . Usually he would write the stuff in a very discrete and sarcastic way. But today he missed the bigger point. If we say that its true then God is just another human. Well personification of God is there in almost all religions of the world. In a sense we actually reduce the complexity of being God just enough so that we can make some sense out of Him. But then the big question still there is that is reason for human life a conscious effort or is it merely a coincidence of right things being there at the right places. When I heard Pakistani Skipper Shohaib Mallik tell in the presentation ceremony that he was thankful to all the muslims around the world who had supported him I really felt surprised. But then the humor in me came alive and some interesting thoughts hit me. So I tell you about possibility number 1. It so happened that muslims around the world did not pray for Pakistan. It actually happened that most of the muslims in India were supporting the home team. So keeping in mind the majority, Allaha decided that India should win. So Mr Shohab Mallik's only hope went for a toss. Another possibility is that the muslim's Shohaib Mallik was counting on certain muslims who were actually busy praying for success in suicide attacks on innocent civilians so that in turn they would get 70 odd virgins in heaven. It is just another of those random thoughts that keep coming to me once in a while. I was just wondering how we people instinctively typecast people into good and bad. It is usually that we make a decision within the first 30 seconds according to a research. Yes there is some research please google it out. I did not want to do any time wasting on that I leave that to you. But I am sure that this research exists. I think that a lot of factors come into play when we typecast a person as good, bad or useless crap. Profession being one of them.
